Deprived of the Right to Serve His People. Zhumakhan Kuderin (1891–1938)

This chapter describes the educational, scientific, and social activities of J. Kuderin. He dealt with the land issue, the return of refugees from China to their homeland in 1916, was a member of the Commission for the zoning and delimitation of the territories of Central Asia and Kazakhstan, participated in land and water reform, and worked on the Committee to provide assistance to the starving population. As a scientist, he proposed a method of treating the plague and took part in research expeditions to study the natural resources of Turkestan.
