The Negotiator with Stalin. Khalel Gabbasov (1888–1931)

This chapter is dedicated to a member of the Alash government Kh. Gabbasov. He conducted telephone conversations with the People’s Commissar for National Affairs Stalin about the conditions of Kazakh autonomy in exchange for recognition of Soviet power. He became one of the first victims of political repression against Alash-Hordyns.
