This chapter tells about the doctor and public figure Kh. Dosmukhamedov, who saw the reasons for the misfortune of his people in colonization and dreamed that Kazakhstan would modernize following the example of Japan. He participated in negotiations with Lenin, during which the issue of Kazakh autonomy was discussed.
