Deconfliction of Space Activities: Lunar Safety Zones
摘要
International cooperation is going to be critical to establish a long-lasting presence on the Moon. The Artemis Program aims to open a new chapter in the history of lunar exploration. Named after Apollo’s twin sister, the Program is led by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) of the USA in collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA), the Canadian Space Agency (CSA), the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), and a few commercial partners. The aim of this Program is to build the necessary expertise in order to sustainably return to the Moon and lay the foundations for manned deep space exploration. The Artemis Program also plans to bring the first woman and the first person of colour to the lunar surface in 2025.
