A Review of Fault Prediction Methods for High Speed Elevator Brakes for Service Safety

The safety of elevator service is not only a major requirement for meeting the safe travel needs of the general public, but also a safety governance requirement for national infrastructure. The methods for predicting mechanical and electrical equipment faults mainly focus on multi-source sensor data fusion, risk analysis of brake performance degradation, and brake fault analysis. This article summarizes the research ideas, methods, and shortcomings of mechanical and electrical equipment fault prediction from the perspective of digital twins.
