Didactic Resources with Augmented Reality for Learning Parasitology

The use of interactive digital teaching tools for the teaching–learning process has become a challenge for many teachers, especially in times of the pandemic due to COVID-19, where these processes had to be accelerated to generate training that encourages autonomy, critical capacity, and social awareness of students in favor of sustainable meaningful learning. In this sense, this work shows how the collaborative work of an interdisciplinary group of teachers focused on a specific topic “biological cycle of parasites” generates a didactic tool using augmented reality that allows medical and veterinary medicine students to interact comprehensively, to achieve control of diseases that affect populations of humans and animals with a high prevalence of these parasitosis and thus promote food security and well-being of humans and animals.
