Main Augmented Reality as a Means of Reappropriation of Cultural Values and Oral Tradition
摘要
The narratives of oral tradition are a ritual exercise through which people manifest and reinforce a worldview, they are a cultural transmission to present the world to future generations. Keeping stories is preserving beliefs, traditions and socio-cultural values, preventing folklore from being forgotten, a symptomatic threat of globalization that silently affects the identity of people. The project aims at enhancing the narrative qualities of unidirectional audio communication models through Augmented Reality, a format in which the re-telling of stories is developed. In addition, from the perspective of product configuration, it is intended to invigorate communicative relationships with the stories of the Colombian oral tradition and stimulate, through interaction with technologies, the appropriation of these narratives in a youthful and contemporary audience that interacts daily with tools and global trends typical of the digital age in which we live. In this way, we contribute to enhancing the influence, visibility and transfer of our traditional cultural values.
