This chapter introduces the basic principles, modulation techniques, composition, and performance indicators of power converters. A detailed overview of conventional non-isolated DC-DC converter is provided. Furthermore, the specific application of DC-DC converters in electric vehicles and photovoltaic systems is discussed.
