Anticancer Effects of 4-Hexylresorcinol
摘要
This chapter discusses the potential anti-tumor effect of 4-hexylresorcinol (4HR), a phenolic compound with antimicrobial and antioxidant properties. The chapter describes the biochemical properties of 4HR and its potential to suppress mitochondrial respiration, increase endoplasmic reticulum stress, and induce apoptosis in tumor cells. The chapter also details the results of in vitro and in vivo experiments with various cancer cell lines, demonstrating the efficacy of 4HR in reducing cancer cell proliferation. The chapter concludes by acknowledging the limitations of the study and the need for further research to confirm the anti-tumor effect of 4HR in other cancer cell lines and to determine its potential as an anticancer drug.
