摘要

Plants are living entities that provide food, oxygen, and habitat for other organisms in the environment. Plants, like all living things, require adequate nutrition, water, and sunlight to develop and thrive. Plants are continually interacting with their surroundings, including the microbes that live in the soil, roots, and leaves. These interactions may have a significant impact on plant health and growth, as well as the surrounding ecosystem. Microbes have specialized roles in the environment, including managing toxicity, suppressing illness, promoting plant development and cycling, and utilizing nutrients. The interactions between microbes and plants can be pathogenic, symbiotic, and associative that have different impacts on plant health. Keeping up the research to better understand the dynamics of rhizosphere communities would provide sustainable farming approaches with much-needed momentum. Plant microbe interactions alter immunity, physiological functions, and soil quality, ultimately leading to sustainable agriculture. This chapter focuses on the plant-microbe communications in terms of nutrient uptake, stress tolerance, and crop production.
