Ship Manoeuvring Standards and Guidelines
摘要
For many years, there were few statutory requirements regarding manoeuvrability that a ship had to satisfy, apart from the maximum rudder angleMaximum rudder angle to be attained (usually 35 degrees on either side) and the time required to turn the rudderRudder from one side to the other (not more than 28 s to turn the rudder from 35 degrees on one side to 30 degrees on the other, at present). AdvancesAdvance in knowledge of the subject and development of experimental and computational tools have allowed standards of manoeuvring performance to be established.
