Miscellaneous Neurological Signs
摘要
Nuchal rigidity is characterized by stiffness and spasm of the neck muscles, with pain on attempted voluntary movement as well as resistance to passive movement and is the most common sign of meningeal irritation. Restricted neck motion in all directions including rotation and lateral bending of the neck is not usually seen in meningitis and is commonly seen in patients with stiff neck due to cervical spondylitis.
