QOS Performance Analysis of DDOS Attack on IoT-Based MANET

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a growing technology that allows data to be exchanged with other devices over the Internet or via wireless networks. Cyber-attacks may cause malicious intrusions into IoT systems due to changes and developments in the IoT environment. A growing challenge IoT networks must address is distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks. In IoT applications, DDoS attacks take advantage of the limited resources available in IoT devices, including storage limitations and network capacity. An AODV routing protocol with a DDOS attack is evaluated in this research paper in IOT-based Mobile ad-hoc networks. A simulation was conducted using network simulator 3 (NS3), and the results reveal that packet delivery ratios decrease with increased data transmission delay. DDOS Bot nodes decrease IOT-MANET’s performance significantly by increasing average packet loss, average bandwidth requirements, and average throughput loss.
