The Promotion of Riau Malay Traditional Food Using Augmented Reality Based on Android

Indonesia possesses a wealth of natural and cultural resources. The Riau Province is one of the many provinces in Indonesia. The province of Riau is distinguished by its cultural diversity. Each of the twelve regions of Riau has its traditional cuisine. Regional cuisine becomes one of its defining characteristics. Every conventional product has a backstory. However, not all Riau residents know how to prepare Riau Malay cuisine. This research helps individuals comprehend Riau Malay traditional food and serves as a promotional medium to introduce Riau Malay traditional food to the general public at national and international levels by creating an Android-based augmented reality application. The application includes traditional dishes from each region of Riau. Please begin with the appearance, ingredients, preparation instructions, and backstory. This application has been tested on 40 participants with outstanding results.
