Routing Mechanisms for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle
摘要
Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) can be wirelessly interconnected ad hoc in order to cooperate and work together, creating a UAV network. UAV networks are different from mobile ad hoc networks as well as vehicle ad hoc networks in that they have special qualities and traits. Designing a routing protocol is particularly difficult because of the dynamic behavior of UAV networks’ quick movement and topological changes. Here, we have discussed various AI-enabled protocols which have been primarily designed for over-the-air networks, which include topology predictive routing algorithms and self-adaptive learning-based routing protocols focusing on adaptation to network topologies that are dynamic in nature. We have justified the significance of the adoption of AI in UAV network communication. This study identifies a number of variables and application scenarios that affect how well multi-robot surveillance systems perform.
