Performance of ADC in Various JESD Modes for High Sensitivity ELINT Digital Receiver
摘要
Space electronic reconnaissance needs very high sensitivity ELINT systems. Digital receiver plays a key role in the development of modern ELINT systems, which incorporate high-end FPGAs and ADCs. These ADCs offer high sampling rate, decimation techniques, and support JESD interface. The JESD protocol offers various modes with different decimation. This paper presents the idea of employing the concept of oversampling and subsequent decimation to improve the SNR performance and hence sensitivity, over conventional sampling. Simulation and experimental results both have been presented, demonstrating the improvement in SNR. Analysis is being done by performing the experiment on ADC1213200EVM for various JESD modes and the data is being captured through Data Capture Card (TSW14157EVM) with the help of HSDC pro software. Further, the collected data is being simulated on MATLAB.
