A Novel Technique Using Particle Swarm Optimization and Firefly Algorithm for Wireless Network

Chord protocol has been a widely deployed routing protocol for Structured P2P overlay networks. The performance of these networks is influenced significantly by the routing protocol which is degraded due to the dynamic nature of nodes when deployed over a P2P-based wireless mesh network. In chord routing with PSO optimization is proposed which consider significant improvement in the performance of chord when compared with existing chord and location-aware chord. In chord protocol, identifiers will be given to both participating nodes and data items. The Firefly algorithm is an efficient optimization technique, but it may fall into several local optimum points.
