Research Methodology
摘要
As discussed in Chap. 1 , this study explores urban management on resilience improvement based on the evaluation of individual resilience, the identification of the determinants of individual resilience and the present strategic initiative for nurturing individual resilience. Three groups of research questions are thus posed: (1) What was the current performance of individual resilience of residents vulnerable to urban flooding? And did the individual resilience vary among different communities? (2) What were the determinants (People-Disaster-Place-Society) of individual resilience? (3) Whether the strategic measure of Sponge City Initiative could help nurture individual resilience? And what were the place-responsive measures for individual resilience nurturing?
