Study on Applicability of the MPS Two-Phase Flow Model to Submarine Landslide Problem and the Basic Characteristics of Impact Pressure on Mooring Anchors of Offshore Wind Turbines

摘要

The authors focus on the MPS particle method and evaluate the applicability of its two-phase flow model to submarine landslide phenomena through the reproduction calculations of past model experiments. Then, we study the basic characteristics of impact pressure exerted on the mooring anchors of the offshore wind turbines caused by submarine landslides occurring in coastal areas. The results show that the high-density fluid model of the MPS can qualitatively reproduce the submarine landslide phenomenon up to a flow distance of 50 m in the case of a pure sand, and the effect of submarine landslide flow occurring in coastal or marine areas around a water depth of 60 m on fixed mooring anchors is significant.
