A Study on Wave-Free Configurations and Motion Responses for Advanced SPAR-Type FOWTs
摘要
The key to solving Japan’s energy problems is to achieve the best mix of energy sources, including renewable energy and nuclear power. Wind power seems to be the most promising renewable energy source. However, the land topography of Japan is not always suitable, so it is important to develop an offshore wind turbine generation system. In particular, improving the seakeeping performance of the supporting floating body of the wind turbine is an important research subject. Therefore, in this study, seakeeping performances of floating bodies with two-wave-free points are clarified by the systematic numerical calculations, and its usefulness as a supporting float for offshore wind power generation is discussed.
