Application of High-Resolution Prestack Processing Technology in the Fula North Oilfield, Fula Sag, Sudan
摘要
The Fula North oilfield, a major oilfield in Block 6 in the Fula sag, Sudan, has made slow progress in rolling evaluation and high-efficiency development in recent years, because the limitations of seismic data quality and traditional processing techniques result in unsatisfactory imaging of mid-deep structures and basements, restricting understanding of the overall tectonic framework of the target area. Based on data quality and characteristics of the complex structure in the study area, we performed prestack denoising, “secondary” amplitude compensation, and seismic gather optimization while focusing on surface consistency. Finally, a high-resolution processing flow for the seismic data in the mid-deep strata of the Fula sag, Sudan, was established. The field application shows enhanced resolution and fidelity of seismic data after optimized processing and significantly improved image quality of interlayer information and low-order faults. The results provide more basic data for fine structure interpretation and reservoir inversion. The method flow can be a technical reference for high-resolution fine seismic data processing in other blocks in Sudan.
