Seismic Exploration of Unconventional Reservoirs for Exploration and Development: A Case Study of Tight Gas in Sichuan

Jurassic Shaximiao tight gas reservoir in central and west Sichuan area, due to its shallow burial and short exploration and development period, is currently an important field for improving quality and efficiency and one of the new fields for increasing gas storage and production. The structure of the research area is generally gentle, but the characteristics of small faults, micro-amplitude structures and sand body spatial distribution are complex. Horizontal well is one of the key technologies to realize efficient exploration and development of unconventional oil and gas reservoirs. In well location deployment and drilling design, it is necessary to predict the burial depth and dip of tight gas reservoirs, which puts forward higher requirements for the imaging accuracy of seismic data. In this paper, carrying out the research and application of multi-information constrained tomographic static correction technology, data regularization processing technology and TTI anisotropic PSDM method, the imaging location of sand bodies and faults is accurate, the imaging depth is highly consistent with the measured drilling depth, and the formation dip of seismic data is well consistent with that obtained from the actual drilling It provides strong support for high-precision tight gas imaging, well location deployment and well trajectory design in the north slope of central Sichuan, greatly improving the reservoir drilling rate and drilling success rate.
