Application and Development of Tracer Test in Oil-Gas Industry

Tracer technology has become an important monitoring tool in oilfield development and production due to its advantages of convenient operation, intuitive and reliable performance. Based on the current application status in various fields, two major application scenarios of tracers are introduced, including application in injection-production well groups, segmented fracturing monitoring. The paper covers multiple aspects such as testing theory, technical products, detection methods, and interpretation analysis. In addition, combined with on-site application cases, technical value of tracers has been elaborated detailed. Future development trends have been proposed based on on-site technical requirements and technological deficiencies.
