摘要

Traditional production logging (PLT) is limited by the casing or completion strings and can’t represent the flow behind the casing or flow in the reservoir. Noise spectrum logging technology (NTO) measures the noise frequency, amplitude generated by flowing in different media, which can effectively identify downhole pipe flow, beyond casing flow, channel flow, and flow in reservoir fractures and pores. The technology achieves the combination of wellbore flow profile and reservoir flow profile has great significance in revealing interlayer interference, analyzing reservoir dynamic and evaluating reservoir properties. The combination of NTO and PLT logging technology provides an accurate and reliable method for water shut-off operation, wellbore integrity evaluation and reservoir profiles determination. It also can be effectively used to evaluate well performance and identify production enhancement opportunities in different reservoirs. The successful field application has verified the feasibility of the technology.
