摘要

In the middle east, the reservoirs have complex pore systems. The problems associated with heterogeneous reservoir pose significant complications that are not yet fully addressed by industry. One important difficulty is the accurate computing the saturations. The traditional Archie equation is not adequate to model the saturation, due to the complex pore systems variations and injection water salinity variations. SCAL data was used to classified the reservoir into 4 reservoir rock types. Based on different RRT, different saturation height function was used to access the saturation, due to the advantages and drawbacks of each method. It provides new insight and method that the Archie saturation cannot get reasonable results in the low resistivity and waterflooded zone. The match between the Sw from logs and the Sw from saturation modeling approach is very liable leading to a much better in-place estimation and prospectivity.
