Study on Water Production Characteristics of Shan2 Reservoir in South Sulige Cooperation Block

South Sulige Cooperation Block in Sulige Gas field is a typical tight sandstone lithologic gas reservoir. With small reservoir thickness, large burial depth, strong heterogeneity, rapid lateral change, and complex porosity and permeability relationship, different degrees of water production occurred in the gas field development process, especially in Shan2 reservoir, suspected to be serious water production. Some of the gas wells in Shan2 reservoir accumulated serious liquid and even stopped production, which seriously affected normal production. However, current understanding of the source of produced water is not clear, which brings some difficulties to the development of gas fields. Therefore, on the basis of previous studies, through the analysis of production data and logging data of all the gas wells that have been fracked Shan2 reservoir in the study block, water production characteristics of the typical plugging measure well SN0001 and two phase test wells are analyzed and summarized. Based on the logging and gas test data of single gas test well in Yanan-Anbian sand belt and Hahantumiao - Yangqiaopan sand belt that near south Sulige block, the liquid production limit of the single gas test well in Shan2 reservoir in south Sulige block is established, and the cut off value of logging response characteristics of the water producing reservoir gas well is determined. The comparison and verification are carried out by using the wellhead two phase measurement test wells and plugging measure gas wells. At the same time, water production characteristics of the gas wells that have been fracked Shan2 reservoir in the whole block are analyzed and predicted by using this gas-water limit. It is suggested that some of the 45 high water risk gas wells should be included in the 2022 two-phase metering test plan to further demonstrate the liquid production characteristics of Shan2 reservoir, so as to guide the subsequent production and construction of Shan2 reservoir and gas field development.
