Optimization of Well Types and Trajectories for Development of Stratified Carbonate Gas Reservoirs
摘要
The type and trajectory optimization of development well is of great significance for the development of gas reservoirs, which is related to the work in many aspects, such as the number of development wells, well pattern design, and production proration of single well. Carbonate gas reservoirs have strong heterogeneity. Definitely, the stratified carbonate gas reservoirs on the right bank of Amu Darya River are thin in single layer, so that no benefit can be gained from the development of a single layer. Therefore, commingled production in vertical direction should be considered. However, it is usually hard to obtain high production by development through the vertical well. Generally, the optimization of well type and trajectory is one of the key factors for efficient development of gas fields. Taking GAD Gasfield on the right bank of Amu Darya River as an example, the production indexes under different types and trajectories of development well were predicted through numerical simulation. On this basis, the development effects of development wells in different types and trajectories were compared, and the impact of well types and trajectories on the development effects of gas fields was analyzed, thus providing a theoretical basis for the productivity construction of such gas reservoirs.
