Attenuation of the Vibration Amplitude of the Crew Seat Suspension System
摘要
Magnetorheological damper is used to attenuate the vibrational amplitude of the crew seat of the seat suspension system. This paper studied the attenuation of the vibrational amplitude of the seat suspension system. MR damper is used in the considered seat suspension system to dampen the vibration amplitude in the required time and bring the system to a steady state. The effect of the vibrational amplitude on the seat suspension system has been analyzed at different excitation frequencies. A PD controller is used to optimize the current requirement of the damper. The need for supply current reduces as the excitation frequency increases near the resonance region with lower amplitude due to surpassing the resonance condition. It is concluded that the system can be easily operated at optimized damping for a 1 A current supply which requires very less power. It is observed that use of PD controller reduced the current requirement within 0.9 A and amplitude less than 1 mm as the system approaches the steady state.
