Delta-Submarine Fan Pattern: A Case Study of Marine Sandstone in a Oilfield, Middle East

摘要

Middle East A Oilfield Ksand formation belongs to a set of thin marine sandstone deposits with a buried depth of 3600 m and a formation thickness of 30–50 m. In the area of 1200 km2, the oil-water contact is not uniform with poor sand body connection. Poor drilled well controlling, sparse 2D lines in the north and 3D survey in the south. How to improve the imaging precision of seismic data and accurately predict the distribution of deep thin sandstone reservoir is a huge challenge. Combined paleo geomorphology with the sedimentary features identification from core, the concept of depositional system is established. Through petrophysical sensitive parameters analysis and pseudo acoustic curve reconstruction, using 2D and 3D joint and multi-attribute neural network fitting and facies-controlled to improve the precision of seismic inversion to realize the distribution prediction of deep thin sandstone. A pattern of delta-submarine fan of deep thin marine sandstone is established by multi-information integrated to guide reservoir distribution and de-risk of well deployment.
