Methodological Basis for Estimating Prospects of Oil-And-Gas Bearing Capacity in Poorly Studied Territories
摘要
The regression of reserves growth in the ancient oil and gas provinces is pushing researchers to look for replenishment solutions through geological exploration in areas previously considered unpromising. As a rule, the geological and geophysical knowledge of such territories is extremely low, sometimes limited to the results of geological surveys with conclusions on the general features of the geological structure and recommendations for setting up work to search of minerals, that is, the study stopped at the regional stage. A well-chosen strategy for resuming exploration work and the correct choice of their stages will significantly reduce costs and achieve results in the shortest possible time. On the other hand, the same strategy will contribute to the timely termination of work in case of non-confirmation of prospects, thus avoiding unnecessary financial costs.
