Hydrocarbon System Simulation and Oil and Gas Resource Evaluation Based on Trinity Software -Taking Dongying Sag as an Example

摘要

Basin modeling method is a widely used, reliable and highly operational method in the evaluation of oil and gas resources, and has played an important role in the previous assessment of oil and gas resources. As a software with relatively short application time, Trinity software has its unique advantages over other software, and has not been systematically used in the evaluation of oil and gas resources in Dongying sag. Dongying sag is one of the most abundant oil and gas bearing areas in China. After decades of exploration, a large number of analysis data have been formed, which provides convenient conditions for using basin modeling software to carry out oil and gas system modeling and resource evaluation. This study used Trinity software to carry out oil and gas system modeling and oil and gas resource evaluation in Dongying sag, and achieved good results, especially in the study of oil and gas property spatial distribution characteristic, reasonable division of migration and accumulation units, and accurate calculation of exploration target resources. The research results also show that the use of basin modeling software to simulate oil and gas system and evaluate oil and gas resources is of great significance for understanding the scale and distribution characteristics of oil and gas resources, the characteristics and laws of oil and gas migration and accumulation, and the laws and mechanisms of oil and gas accumulation in oil and gas basins.
