Analysis on Microscopic Characteristics of Scaling Products of Chang 7 Shale Oil in Longdong Area of Ordos Basin

The Chang7 shale oil in the Ordos Basin has entered the stage of large-scale exploration and development. With the increase of development level, scaling phenomenon is becoming increasingly serious, and there are varying degrees of scaling problems in oil wells, infusion pipelines, booster stations, and other places. In order to deeply analyze the composition and types of scale deposits, this study used a scanning electron microscope X-ray energy spectrometer to analyze and study the characteristics of scale deposits, in order to provide a theoretical basis for measures such as scale prevention and cleaning. The research results indicate that the composition of shale oil scale is more complex, with the main components including silicon, iron, barium sulfate, calcium carbonate, rock salt, and aluminum. The first three types have relatively high content, and the main source of silicon being fracturing sand, the main source of aluminum being the flocculant added to some samples. According to the main components, the scale can be divided into three types: iron based scale, barium sulfate based scale, and mixed scale with multiple components; According to its microstructure characteristics, it can be divided into three types: blocky structure, layered structure, and sandy structure. These achievements play an important guiding role in the mechanism of scale formation and the establishment of suitable scale removal and prevention systems.
