Streamlining Aerodynamic Optimization with Generalized ANN Support

摘要

Transportation as an industry is an enormous one both in terms of size and impact. It is logical therefore to attempt to achieve the highest levels of efficiency in the industry. This research takes a look at aerodynamics of the vehicles, which make up an important part of most of the transportation systems. The discussion undertaken in the following paper is aimed at providing some context regarding the shape optimization process. The discussion establishes the importance of the aerodynamic shape optimization technique in the transportation sector. However, it is noticed that the ASO process is not as integral a part of the production process as it should be. The paper then explores the challenges faced in the industry. Lastly, the paper proposes a framework based on previous innovative works, to allow easier integration of the ASO process in the general setting. The paper also lists out the challenges of realizing the objective. Solving these problems will enable the transportation industry to become much more efficient and eco-friendlier.
