Enhancing Transparency and Efficiency in the Fruits and Vegetables Cold Chain Through Blockchain Integration

摘要

This study examines how blockchain technology could transform India's F&V cold chain. We use blockchain's decentralization and transparency to improve F&V supply chain traceability, quality control, and efficiency. Based on secondary data on India's F&V cold chain, we identified blockchain as a possible solution. Blockchain technology records every cold supply chain transaction immutably and transparently, allowing stakeholders to track F&V items from farm to export or consumer. This ensures products are handled carefully according to regulations and temperature. Additionally, blockchain provides real-time visibility into the supply chain, allowing stakeholders to quickly identify and resolve issues before they compromise product integrity. The blockchain integration framework intends to give stakeholders secure and transparent supply chain records to build trust, enter new markets, and boost competitiveness. In conclusion, this study examines blockchain technology's potential in the F&V cold supply chain and proposes a comprehensive integration architecture to improve transparency and efficiency.
