Interview with Shunsuke Kikuchi

Shunsuke Kikuchi (1931–2021), who was born in the north of Honshū, the main island of Japan’s archipelago, in the town of Hirosaki (Aomori Prefecture), and a resident of Tōkyō for decades, was one of the most prolific composers for cinema and television in his homeland.  This chapter is an edited version of the conversation that the author had with him in his Tōkyō home on 14 January 2014.
