This chapter, in resonance with Sabre’s chapter, explores the relationshiop between anime and popular culture in the other biggest European market for anime, with special reference to the homages to anime made in local pop music; readers can, in this sense, notice the different flavours in the treatment of anime citations in pop music between France and Italy.
