Aesthetic ideologies have long dictated and impacted the science of aesthetics in dermatology. More often than not, industry practices and trends have promulgated evolutionary instincts and undercurrents. Its impact on perception of health and beauty needs a reflective pause, and a re-structuring of mindset, to dissociate current standards of beauty.
