Procedural Dermatology: What Dermatologists Can Do and What They Cannot—A Resident Doctor’s Perspective

  • Arunachalam Narayanan

摘要

Over the last few years, dermatologists have had the opportunity to get trained in various aspects of procedural dermatology during or after completing their residency. The spectrum of procedures practised by dermatologists includes botulinum toxin, fillers, microneedling, subcision, vitiligo surgery, and sclerotherapy. There are also a number of procedures that have been introduced by other specialties only to be adopted by dermatologists later on. In this chapter, I will discuss what kind of procedures dermatologists can do and what they cannot, or should ideally not do.
