VCD Probing Intermolecular Interactions: Molecular Crystals, Acid–Base Pairs, Host–Guest Association and Solvation
摘要
This chapter describes the VCD investigation of intermolecular interactions in molecular association. Targeted systems are molecular crystals, acid–base pairs, host–guest association and solvation. VCD is particularly effective, when the sign and intensity of a VCD peak reflects the subtle conformational change of a component. The capability is utilized to reveal how chiral components are organized to a molecular architecture through specific interactions.
