Non-financial Asset Management for Mid-High Net Worth Families

This chapter analyzes the allocation of household non-financial assets. This study includes the individual business situation and allocation of business assets, property investment situation, and allocation of consumer durables. On this basis, this chapter explores the factors that influence households’ entrepreneurial and property investment decisions. The results show that the proportion of mid-high net worth households that are self-employed is 18.15% in towns and 21.52% in villages, which is significantly higher than that of non mid-high net worth households; mid-high net worth households make more entrepreneurial decisions than non mid-high net worth households, and household investable assets promote household entrepreneurship. Similarly, mid-high net worth households have more investment properties than non mid-high net worth households, and, household investable assets promote household asset allocation in investment properties.
