Calculation Method and Application of Carbon Emission in Newly Built Urban District
摘要
The district is the basic unit of urban construction and a critical link in promoting the “double carbon” target. Based on the analysis of influencing factors, a district carbon emission calculation model covering building, transportation, infrastructure, and carbon sink is constructed. Combined with the district carbon emission scenario analysis, the district’s carbon emissions and carbon emission index under different development modes are obtained. The results of a typical case show that the district carbon emission calculation model combined with building, transportation, infrastructure, and carbon sink can effectively reflect the carbon emission level of the district. The peak carbon emissions of Gegu District in Tianjin, China, under the baseline scenario, low-carbon scenario, and enhanced low-carbon scenario were 565,000 tCO2, 521,000 tCO2, and 483,000 tCO2, respectively. With the implementation of low-carbon measures, carbon emissions in the district will gradually decrease after peaking in 2033. In 2060, carbon emissions will reach 422,000 tCO2, 311,000 tCO2, and 225,000 tCO2, respectively, with a decrease rate of 25.3%, 40.3% and 53.4%. Under the enhanced low-carbon scenario, the district still has a 174,000 tCO2 gap and has not achieved carbon neutrality. The possibility of achieving carbon neutrality can be increased by improving the energy efficiency of buildings, promoting the application of charging vehicles, reducing carbon emissions from waste and sewage treatment, and increasing green space.
