Inverter-Air-Conditioner Demand Response Considering Comfortable Indoor Temperature
摘要
The pursuit of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality targets has driven the rapid adoption of renewable energies. However, the intermittent nature of these renewable energy sources poses challenges, particularly the power imbalance and power shortage, which eventually affect the power quality with frequency fluctuation and equipment damage. Since traditional generators have no more regulation capacity to handle the power issue, demand response is adopted to take charge of the regulation work with demand-side load resources. Among plenty kinds of load resources, Inverter-Air-Conditioners (IACs) have received particular attention. IACs are adjustable and have great power consumption in the city so they can provide flexible and large regulation capacity. However, a thing to be noticed is that IACs plays an essential in citizens’ life, especially in hot areas. Even though architects’ envelopes can temporarily store the cool air, the improper invoke strategy of IACs in summer may seriously influence the citizens’ comfort and may make them refuse to participate in the demand response program. This paper proposed an IACs-invoke-based demand response strategy considering in-door temperature based on the ASHRAE-55 standard, which can handle frequency fluctuation without making obvious influences on indoor comfort conditions. The strategy is tested on a Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) experiment to verify its authenticity and feasibility.
