Fuzzy Theory and TOPSIS-Based Reasonableness Assessment Method for Grid Division Schemes in the Distribution Network

The assessment of the reasonableness of grid division schemes in the distribution network is regarded as an important way to improve the benefit of distribution network planning. Currently, the reasonableness assessment methods for grid division schemes mainly rely on qualitative assessments, making it difficult to present objective assessment results. Thus, in this work, a fuzzy theory and technique for order of preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS)-based comprehensive assessment method is proposed for assessing the reasonableness of grid division schemes. First, a fuzzy theory-based multi-level assessment index system for measuring the reasonableness of grid division schemes in distribution network planning is customized. Next, a comprehensive weighting method combining analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and entropy weight method (EWM) is proposed to determine the relative importance of each reasonableness assessment index. On this basis, a TOPSIS-based comprehensive assessment method for the reasonableness of grid division schemes is then proposed, which can convert these reasonableness assessment indices into comprehensive assessment results. Finally, case studies on grid division schemes in a practical distribution network are performed to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method can assess the reasonableness of grid division schemes in an objective and reasonable manner.
