Foraging as Sustenance and Dissent in the Villages Bordering Bengaluru

We walk with the village women of Sarjapura as they forage wild weeds, as one of the last generations to hold this knowledge. The article also focuses on the efforts made by a few individuals to pass on this knowledge to wider audiences as new threats like unsustainable development and changing lifestyles come as barriers to foraging. We also take a look at the edible weeds and their local uses in culinary and medicinal preparations.
