摘要

Cotton-wheat system (CWS) is an important rotation in many countries of the world. This cropping system ensures food and fiber security of increasing population in developing and developed countries in the world. The productivity of CWS is low and also stagnant. There are many reasons for this lower yield and yield stagnation. Among the major reasons are cotton leaf curl virus and climate change. Due to CLCV and climate change, food and fiber security in developing countries is at stake. The scientists are struggling hard to control CLCV and quantifying climate change influence on CWS phenology and productivity. Furthermore, many regional and global efforts with the involvement of stakeholders are underway to suggest climate change adaptation strategies for CWS and ensure food and fiber security at national, regional, and global levels.
