Performance Improvement of EBG-Based Patch Antenna for Tumor Detection
摘要
In this paper, EBG-based patch antenna is investigated to detect and visualize tumors in a human. Compact microstrip antenna is designed and optimized using the High-Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) simulation software. The operating frequency of 7 GHz is used to detect the brain tumor. To get more accurate results, Electromagnetic Band Gap structure is implemented which is used for reduction or absorption of surface wave which is generally created by planar antenna. With the help of this EBG-based antenna, using SAR concepts, tumor is detected. In this technique, equivalent signals are transmitted using a microstrip patch antenna and receive reflected radiation pattern from the device under test.
