Design and Development of Line Guided Load Shifting Mechanism

Robotics in the workplace has a number of benefits including increased productivity, accelerated workflow and reduction in physically taxing work. An autonomous load transporter robot for industrial automation is introduced in this paper with a focus on ‘Line Following, Cargo Loading–Unloading and Obstacle Avoidance’ in warehouse and logistics environments. The main controller uses an ultrasonic sensor for obstacle avoidance and infrared sensors to identify lines. The robot traverse exactly along predetermined pathways following nodes and black lines, by modifying the control parameters. Use of prototype demonstrated here emphasises the expanding significance of robots in various domain industries under challenging circumstances. This work introduces a novel line-following robot that provides autonomous navigation, obstacle detection and efficient material conveyance in industrial environments.
