摘要

Currently, the requirements for elderly healthcare are rapidly increasing. Wireless Body Sensor Networks (WBSNs) have turned out to be a progressive technology as it is considered a possible solution for a remote gathering of health-related information to present continuous all-day medical monitoring and analysis at a minimal cost. Due to its application characteristics, delay, reliability, and energy utilization need to be considered. The time-sensitive critical data packets need minimum delays. To present real-time health monitoring, it is necessary to establish and maintain appropriate links (regarding stability, QoS, and reliability). Thus, considering QoS awareness, energy and link reliability in routing decisions is significant to improve the WBSN performance. This work introduces an Energy and QoS-Aware Routing Protocol (RP), called Energy Link-reliable Temperature and Delay-aware RP (ELTD-RP), for WBSN. Numerous temperature-aware RP presented for WBSN include either single or composite routing measures (hop count, temperature, or energy). The optimized links fulfilling the QoS requirements are chosen to route the data packets. Ultimately, the effectiveness and efficiency of ELTD-RP scheme are confirmed via the experimentation analysis by enhancing the performance of WBSN based on energy available (J), link reliability, and delay (s).
