DIS Cross Sections at MINERvA Using Medium Energy Antineutrinos

We present a status report on the extraction of charged current \(\bar{\nu }_\mu -A\) ( \(A=C\) , Fe, Pb, CH) Deep Inelastic Scattering (DIS) cross sections using MINER \(\nu \) A detector exposed to the antineutrino beam from the NuMI beamline at Fermilab, in the United States. We plan to extract the total cross sections as a function of antineutrino energy and the differential cross sections as a function of Bjorken variable x. We also measure the cross section ratios in C, Fe and Pb to CH, which will provide the first high-statistics direct measurement of the nuclear medium effects in DIS using antineutrinos.
