Mind, Mental Health & Psychology in Jyotisha, Vastu Shastra & Samudrika Shastra: Relating Sexuality with Astrology

This chapter examines the relationship between Jyotisha, Vastu Shastra, and Samudrika Shastra and the mind, mental health, and psychology. Furthermore it explores the relationship between sexuality and astrology. Jyotisha is a branch of Hindu knowledge system that focuses on astronomy, astrology, and the measurement of time based on the motions of celestial bodies. Mood and personality disorders have been claimed to be treatable with astrology, and mental health and mind are important topics in Indian Astrology. Vastu Shastra is the study of residential architecture and the aggregate or sum of energies and powers triggered by the geometry, shape, and size of a private structure, as well as its dynamic interactions with the surrounding environment. In addition, the concept of mental health and psychology in Samudrika Shastra is explored. Chapter finally explores the possibilities of scientific studies in sexuality and astrological aspects. Thus, this chapter highlights the significance of considering these traditional areas in relation to mind, mental health, psychology and sexuality.
